Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This is a working draft for the staging environment. Have it reviewed by counsel before launch.
Replace bracketed placeholders and align it with the data you actually collect.
Polyrome (“we”, “us”) provides interactive 3D venue maps. This policy explains what we collect when you visit a Polyrome map or create an account, and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information — if you sign up, your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store passwords in plain text.
- Anonymous usage — an anonymous device id and session id used to power favorites, itineraries and game leaderboards without requiring sign-in.
- Interaction analytics — venue visits, pin taps, sponsor impressions and clicks, game plays and scores, used to improve the maps and report engagement to venue operators and their sponsors in aggregate.
- Location — only if you tap “You’re here” and grant permission; used to place you on the map and never stored on our servers.
- Technical data — IP address and browser/user-agent, for security, abuse prevention and basic diagnostics.
How we use it
- To run and improve the maps and the experiences on them.
- To provide venue operators and sponsors with aggregate engagement reporting.
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
Sharing
We share aggregate engagement metrics with the venue and sponsors involved (for example, “4,200 game plays”). We do not sell personal information. We may use processors (hosting, email) under agreements that protect your data.
Your choices
You can decline location access, and you can request access to or deletion of your account data by contacting us at privacy@polyrome.com.
